Meet the Hosts

Ramy Nasr, MD
Ramy Nasr, MD, was born and raised in the Northern Virginia area, and is a product of nearly a decade of full-time Islamic school. The son of Egyptian immigrants, he grew up as a native English and Arabic speaker, helping him stay close to his cultural and Islamic roots. He completed his pre-med studies at the Pennsylvania State University, coupled with a minor in Political Science, following which he matriculated to medical school.
Dr. Nasr completed an internship in General Surgery, residency in Emergency Medicine, fellowship in Emergency Medical Services, and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and Obesity Medicine.
As an independent contractor Emergency Medicine physician, Dr. Nasr has learned many of the little-known tricks of the trade when it comes to investing, tax mitigation, and small business entrepreneurship. An entrepreneur himself, Dr. Nasr started his own small business in the early 2000s, and currently owns a medically-supervised weight loss clinic. He also has over a decade of experience in Shari’ah-compliant real estate and retirement investing.
Dr. Nasr has and continues to be passionate about educating, motivating, and empowering Muslims in America, and has been active in the Dawah scene for over twenty years. Dr. Nasr particularly enjoys giving Khutbahs and lectures about the Islamic identity and mindset. He is dedicated to this podcast series to help give back what he has learned over the years to help financially strengthen fellow Muslims, empower Muslim unity, and foster an Ummatic mindset.

Omar Erchid, Esquire
Omar Erchid, Esquire, was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area. The son of Syrian immigrants, he grew up as a native English and Arabic speaker, helping him stay close to his cultural and Islamic roots. After earning a Journalism degree at the University of South Florida, Attorney Erchid completed his law degree at the Florida State University College of Law. Following a year of practice with an eminent real property law firm in Tallahassee, Attorney Erchid returned to Tampa to start his own practice focusing on real estate, wills, trusts & estates, and asset protection. He is also the founder of TitleTown Closing Group, a full-service title, escrow and settlement agency serving all of Florida.
Attorney Erchid is passionate about Islam, particularly Islamic jurisprudence and history. As the famous quote goes, “A people without knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots”. Inspired by the unwavering strength of the people of Gaza, Attorney Erchid is dedicated to this podcast series to help give back what he has learned over the years to help financially strengthen fellow Muslims, empower Muslim unity, and foster an Ummatic mindset.
In his spare time, he mentors young students who are passionate about entering the legal field, helping them navigate the pre-law track, the law school application process and preparing for the bar exam.
